Bermulanya Cuti Sekolah....

Cuti sekolah yang panjang telah pun bermula.  Sungguh seronok rasanya semua ada kat rumah, tak payah tergesa-gesa hantar budak-budak pagi-pagi, tak payah travel 2 minggu sekali ke Pekan, hmm bestnya!

Hari ini Adham bertolak ke Kuala Kangsar, follow geng MAS Adventure Camp.  Ramai jugak yang pergi dalam 85 orang.  Rasa agak cuak jugak nak bagi Adham pergi, pandai ke dia uruskan diri, tidur dalam khemah and etc..tapi tak apa la, anak lelaki kena kuat sikit!

Sebab hari ni first day cuti sekolah, saya pun merasa agak rajin.  Breakfast hari ini agak best dan berat - Laksa Johor dan Walnut Bread.

11.11.2011

Walaupun hari ini sudah 12.11.2011 tetapi tajuk post saya adalah berkisah kepada hari semalam.  Hari yang ditunggu oleh ramai orang.  Tidak pula saya ketahui apakah istimewanya tarikh tersebut, mungkin nombornya cantik 11.11.11, yang pastinya ramai pasangan yang telah memilih tarikh tersebut untuk menamatkan zaman solo masing-masing. Tidak juga ketinggalan pasangan ibu bapa yang memilih tarikh tersebut untuk melahirkan zuriat mereka, apa-apa pun tahniah kepada semua atas kegembiraan yang mereka kecapi.

Tapi disebalik kegembiraan,  tarikh tersebut juga membawa berita duka kepada mereka yang mengalami tragedi.  Saya amat tersentuh dengan kisah perlanggaran bas ekspress dan lori pasir yang berlaku di lebuhraya PLUS di Km 382.1 yang telah meragut 4 nyawa.  Al-fatihah kepada mangsa yang telah pergi dan takziah kepada kaum keluarga mereka terutama anak allahyarhamah Basarah Saad, yang juga telah kehilangan ayah mereka sebelumnya.  Semoga anak-anak allahyarhamah tabah!


Semalam juga saya berpeluang untuk menyaksikan majlis perkahwinan sahabat karib ataupun adik angkat  ibu saya, Makcik Anum yang telah berjumpa pasangan hidup beliau.  Semoga perkahwinan kali ini berkekalan sehingga ke akhir hayat.

Lolipop....

Lolipop, kegemaran kanak-kanak (kanak-kanak je ke? ahaks ahaks..).  Sebenarnya lolipop tu bukannya sedap sangat, rasa manis yang teramat dan amat la terasa pewarna tiruannya! Tapi kenapa lolipop popular? Hah dah tentu la sebab warnanya yang terang dan bentuk yang menarik.  Dan itulah yang telah menarik budak 2 orang kat bawah ni....

Everybody is talking about him, about his innovations, about his passion and every other single things about him!  
Of course I revere him, I have his innovation, on my 40th birthday, i received - an iPad from Mr. Hubby!, I am also using the MacBook Pro, my very best fren.
Revere is best to describe our respect for the accomplishments or attributes by Jobs but revering is not enough, we must try to apprehend his passion and perseverance and try as much possible to apply in our context.

Yummy yummy Fruit Pastry Cake...

Hari ni rasa agak rajin.  Dari semalam dok menengok blog orang Singapore ni..menarik betul recipe-recipe dia.  Setelah menilik-nilik dan dok berkira-kira apa bahan-bahan yang ada, maka saya telah memilih Fruit Pastry Cake untuk di cuba!  Recipe asalnya guna fresh fruits tapi saya ni dah lama "berhutang" ngan kawan-kawan seopis untuk memasak fruit cocktail yang kitaorang dapat hadiah semasa menganjurkan majlis amal "Cheer For Charity".  Kalau buat puding tu agak biasa le itu sebab saya pilih Pastry Cake ni, nampaknya pilihan saya tepat, esok bolehla dibawa menjamu untuk breakfast....

My scones...

Last night, I have tested the scones recipe I found in the internet.  It turned out great, dapat 8 pieces and pagi ni cuma ada 3 keping saja :) Masa nak makan semalam dok mencari-cari jem, hmm dah habis rupanya, nasib baik my fren, Liza ada bagi sebotol kecik marmalade, jadila nak sapu kat scones tu..  Petang ni, kalau hujan lebat, kita akan buat lagi...

Hmm hujan-hujan ni sedap juga kalau dapat buat Scones!!

Scones are the easiest English teatime treat. There’s scope to customise these sweet ones with dried fruit or cinnamon.

Ingredients

Preparation method

  1. Heat the oven to 220C/425F/Gas 7. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. Mix together the flour and salt and rub in the butter.
  3. Stir in the sugar and then the milk to get a soft dough.
  4. Turn on to a floured work surface and knead very lightly. Pat out to a round 2cm/¾in thick. Use a 5cm/2in cutter to stamp out rounds and place on a baking sheet. Lightly knead together the rest of the dough and stamp out more scones to use it all up.
  5. Brush the tops of the scones with the beaten egg. Bake for 12-15 minutes until well risen and golden.
  6. Cool on a wire rack and serve with butter and good jam and maybe some clotted cream.

Hannah Punya....




Muka Budak Comel and loyar Buruk


My youngest is already 2 plus, hmm how time flies :( Rasa macam baru je kena sorong masuk operation theatre).





Hannah, during her first few months after seeing the world. Can still remember how she suffered from Skin scalded syndrome in her first 20 days after birth. Kesian tengok, pakai pamper dok bawah UV light, dah la masa lahir tu she was only 2.7 kg. Dah lepas sakit kulit, buang air besar pulak problem, too much of antibiotic at early age sampai all good bacterias pun mati dalam perut!

Ni masa dah meniarap, sibuk baca buku...

Ni masa birthday setahun, celebrate kat rumah Tok Mi, yang menyebuk lebih tak lain tak bukan Aisyah!
2nd birthday pun celebrate kat rumah Tok Mi with cousins and aunties!!


Now, Hannah has started talking and composing short sentences, it is so cute to hear she say to me "Ma, capa tu"? when someone called me! or "ni Hanna unya!" claiming everything she likes is hers, tak kira la itu barang sapa or "jap, jap unggu Hannah, Hannah nak icut. Lepas maghrib, dengan bangga dan susah payahnya she told us she knew how to count using her hand. Both of us, hubby and myself excited tengok Hannah sebut one and showed 1 finger and after that 2 with a lot of effort showed 2 fingers!! Sampai senget mulut! Tadi tak sempat ambik gambar, tomorrow i will ask her to posing tunjuk her 2 fingers!

Sometimes rasa nak freeze time so I can really spent and enjoy watching my children grow.....

Weekend Getaway....


To all Hindu Friends,

Deepavali ki Shubkhamnayein (Greeting in Hindi), Deepavali Nalvaazhtukkal (Deepavali in Tamil), Deepavali Habbada Shubhashayagalu (Deepavali in Kannada) etc. Hope my greetings are correct, btw I just copied it from Dato' Izzaddin in his message :) to all Hindus staff.


For us, we took the opportunity to relax, have fun and be together! Hmm a good rest (if I can say so..) after a few hectic weeks. Malacca, a good choice for us as we did not have the luxury on time but as always Malacca fascinated us.


We stayed at Casa Del Rio, a new hotel located at the heart of Banda Hilir. The hotel is still new, operated last 5 months. It is a very nice hotel, from the staff, rooms, services and the facilities, all are GREAT. I really hope it is not because of they are NEW :)

Apa yang lagi yang best...?

Makan - Hmm 1st day lunch kat Restoran Hajjah Rahmah - Kari Kepala Ikan, Ketam, Ayam Goreng, Tempe and Sambal Petai. Best sampai menjilat jari tapi lupalak nak ambik gambar, masa tu perut tengah lapar sangat and the restaurant was full!

Dinner - Apa nama restoran tu? Asam Pedas Claypot. Mula-mula we all pergi kat Kedai Hajjah Mona Asam Pedas, 100m from hotel tapi tak de orang layan. Ada 3 orang aje, sorang tukang buat air cum tukang lap meja cum tukang ambik order. Lagi 2 tukang masak..Masak kami tunggu tak ada sapa pun datang ambil order. Apa lagi..blah je la

Jonker Street pun best...macam-macam ada! Tapi bukan barang yang dijual yang kami tengok, kami sibuk tengok orang...ha ha ha. Yang bestnya, ada otai2 naik buat persembahan, yang audien tu dok nganga tengok, macam best sangat la.
Lagi buat apa ye, pergi kat Stadyhust, eh! betul ke eja?. Pastu pergi Muzium Kapal, lepas tu Dataran Pahlawan and pastu balik :(

Next time, ada free time kita datang lagi ke Malacca.....
